A little bad luck……….
Black Cat finally comes across Peter as he continues his efforts to redeem Doc Ock's actions.
The other threads continue to progress in small steps as Ramos brings his A game artwork to this issue.
SPOILERS FOLLOW………..
We first meet up with the second person to be bitten as she
ponders whether to leave her sealed room or not – and we see it isn’t so hard
for her if she wanted to.
But a surprise awaits us, as longtime dead Ezekiel guilt
trips her into staying in lockdown.
Black Cat meanwhile makes a score in the upper east side, as
she steals champagne and caviar, reflecting on everything she’s lost and how
much Spider-Man will pay for it.
Meanwhile, Elecro’s pains aren’t getting any easier as he
wakes up from a nightmare to find that he has set his surroundings on fire.
Max is coming across as sympathetic and Doc Ock’s cruelty
continues in full flow to plant seeds that will bite Peter later.
Talking about Doc Ock, Parker Industries witnesses a sea change
in attitude as Peter’s lax approach is a shock to the employees used to
Octavius’s dictatorial approach.
They go on a field trip to obtain samples that would help in
making a cure for Electro. Anna Maria on the other hand continues Ock’s work in
his nanite projects.
Arriving at the site, they find the abandoned building in
full flame mode, as the firefighters struggle to put out the fire caused
earlier by Electro.
Fireman Ollie, Mary Jane’s current flame, and Spider-Man
manage to rescue the last of the house occupants but the arrival of Felicia
proves problematic.
Her ‘luck’ causes a beam to fall on Ollie and she attacks
Spider-Man, narrating everything SpOck did to her. This causes Peter to fall
back to a false Ock voice to get rid of her.
It's an interesting take on Felicia Hardy's nature that Slott is taking note of. The fact that Black Cat has always been more interested in the superhero than the man (reverse of almost every other woman in Peter's life) seems to have given rise to the current status quo more than just the loss of her privileged life.

Peter leaves after making sure Cat is gone, seeing a sobbing Mary Jane hug Ollie and
remembering that this was everything night for her when they were together.
Meanwhile, Black Cat has managed to steal the Electro
scanner from the Parker Industries scientists and locate Electro, forming an
alliance to bring down Spider-Man.
SPOILERS END………….
There wasn’t too much time for reflections in this one, as
chaos was the order of the day.
Still, there were some nice character touches, winks to the
larger Marvel Universe and some Parker luck involved.
The artwork is pretty good and Ramos brings his A-game to
this issue.
So, I give it 8.5 out of 10.
+Some good wall-to-wall action
+Good artwork
+Some nice reflections
