Green Lantern Annual #2 Review

Sacrifices must be made when the entire Spectrum goes against Relic.

Not many concluding chapters to big events hit the mark.

And while there was some deus ex machina involved as usual, this was a very straight forward storyline with some major surprises along the way.

The art as always is brilliant, especially when the different corps of the spectrum have to be shown.

Hal is likable again at the end, there's a new base of operations and a major moment of self-reflection at the end.

But this story was Kyle's all the way. He's come a long way since being the only Green Lantern and that was on show here at a place usually frequented when Apokalypse is involved.

SPOILERS FOLLOW……………

New status quos have been established and Vendetti and his team have put their mark on the post-Johns era.

Relic has always been a little underwhelming (though his cause was correct, his methods were not) and his story is wrapped up by an unexpected but delightful way. The reservoir is replenished (though I wish they hadn't hurried through it) and so, the major plot line has also been resolved.

In all, a good event for a new team but not as enduring or appealing as when Johns took the reins.

But then, what is?

So, I give it 7.5 out of 10.

+Some good reveals
+Art is brilliant as always
+A new status quo is established

-Plot resolved a little too easily
-Few character beats
