It's time to reboot.
We finally get some progress on the Justice League front as Cyborg decides it's time for him to step into the playing field again.
We meet up with two tragic teams in this issue and it's a good way to introduce them to the New 52.
Reis is now the fixed artist on this title and he's wondeful at it.
SPOILERS FOLLOW...........
We first meet up with Doom Patrol members The Human Volcano and Karma in Denver. They are confronted and killed by Johny Quick and Atomica, alongwith Negative Woman.
And even though I'm not all that familiar with Doom Patrol, we see most likely Niles Caulder (and the Brain?)amid his sketchings of familiar Doom Patrol members.
Back in Detroit, Cyborg manages to convince him father (with some help from Doctor Morrow) to rebuild him using the technology of the real Red Room. We get him in his classic look again.
Offline due to Grid's omnipresent gaze, Cyborg has to go the hard way to find Platinum, one of Will Magnus' creations. He finds Magnus, but the man is a shadow of his former self, with Platinum being the last piece in the failure of the Metal Men.
I am a little pertubed that we didn't get to see the latest incarnation of the Doom Patrol a little more, and they met a timid end. But everything else was good as we saw Cyborg take a stand again.
SPOILERS END............
With Johns motoring along, this issue gives us glimpses of long-lost superhero teams while giving Cyborg some momentum in playing an active role in Forever Evil.
Reis is brilliant and I continue to wish he drew Forever Evil (though Finch isn't that bad). His handling of Cyborg without going overboard is impressive.
So, I give this 9.0 out of 10
+Some New 52 comebacks
+Cyborg is given a role in the event
+Artwork is excellent
-Glimpses of the introduced characters are brief
